History:  

Valencia CF will welcome Getafe CF on the opening day of the 2021-22 LaLiga campaign in Friday night action at 9 pm kick-off time at Mestalla. 

Valencia CF have hosted Getafe CF on 18 occasions with a positive balance of ten wins, five draws and three losses in all competitions. 

Last time out, Mestalla saw a hard-fought 2-2 draw where both sides were reduced to ten men with Carlos Soler snatching away a valuable point for Valencia CF from 12 yards out deep into stoppage time. 

José Bordalás will be looking to get off to a winning start in his official debut in the Valencia CF dugout in front of the Mestalla crowd and against his former club Getafe CF in the standout fixture of Matchday 1 in LaLiga.
